Pasticceria Comi

Pasticceria Comi was founded in 1958 by Giancarlo Comi in the very place where it is still located today in the center of Missaglia, a stone's throw from the Minor Roman Basilica of San Vittore and the monument to the fallen of the Great War, erected in 1922 to a design by sculptor Giuseppe Mozzanica.

Before being a pastry shop this was the Trattoria della Pace, a tavern that Mr. Comi's father Giancarlo ran since 1935. Under the guidance of the master pastry chef Mapelli, Mr. Giancarlo began his work committing himself to give the product a higher level of quality by choosing the best raw materials.

Bound to tradition but open-minded and curious, he attended numerous courses held by French pastry chefs to learn new techniques and trends then uncommon in Italy, so as to be one of the first members of the Academy of Master Pastry Chefs.

Carrying on these high standards is now his son Emanuele.

Emanuele was born into the world of pastry making, he graduated from the Hotel Institute and at the age of 20, in 1998, he entered the laboratory alongside his father and later became the owner of Pasticceria Comi.
